As anyone in the Harry Potter Fandom World will know, Amazon .co.uk has hosted a contest in which you could spend a week-end with one aof JK Rowling's original, handwritten volumes of the Tales of Beedle the Bard. As the Amazing Comics would gladly state: Hoo Doggy! That is a Great Thing!!!

To enter, you must answer one of 3 Harry Potter related questions using original methods and ideas. I decided to answer the first question: What kind of Song do Wizards use to celebrate Birthdays? Using some slightly inaccurate phsycology logic, figured less people would answer the question seeing as it is most difficult (JK never actually mentioned any birthday songs in her books).
My entry is rather obscure but *ahem* original, and here it is!

At the momentous occasion of a wizard’s seventeenth birthday, they receive a song that remains with and guides them as a fully qualified wizard. The song comes from a Book of Musical Vision, an enchanted object that sings a unique song to a wizard who places their hand in the book at the exact time they come of age. The song relates to their life and personality and predicts the achievements they will obtain with their magical skills. The book also places a charm similar to the potion Felix Felices, granting them luck for the rest of the day.

Yeah, there ya go. I SAID it was obscure!

The entries had to be less than 100 words so I had to edit it quite dramatically! My original entry described what would happen if you put your hand in the book when it wasn't your birthday. The book would clamp onto your hand and turn into a black, smelly, gooey mass that would not come off for 24 hours. You would have to spend a day wit everyone avoiding you because of the dark blob rotting and attracting flies on the end of your limb. I think I might have lost marks for graphic content. XD
