The Predator's Fury by CheeseWarrior The Predator's Fury by CheeseWarrior
Having aquired some new tonal pencils *squeezes pecil set tight while emitting high pitched squealing noise*:excited: I decided to do something ambitous! The sensationally genius film Jurassic Park inspired me tom draw this chase scene, even though it's not in the film. I thought the *awesome* T Rex would hunt some tasty Triceratops at some point. I didn't feel up to drawing a safari car or Gallimimus.
So here you go, dramatic chase scene in which (I hope) the T Rex will come off best (Triceratopses are apparently quite handy with their large, ominous horns).

I think this is really very good, hon. The only thing "off" for me is the Tyrannosaurs' left side (his left) gets kind of lost in the Triceratops's body... If there would be any way to work with shading and highlights a bit to separate the two it would make the piece stronger.

Very good work! I hope this helps, a little.

That's true, I should work on the shading and highlights a little more. Thank you for feedback! :D

Graphite pencil for soft shading. Good for shadows and tone.

It's a very good artwork. I think the shading could be a little more dramatic for a stronger effect.

Thank you for the feedback. When I scanned it, the tone came out a little lighter than the origanal drawing. I think I should scan it again and work with the brightness contrast.

To me you need a little more definition between the two dinos in the foreground. One of the arms of the T-Rex is getting lost in the Triceratops, blending the figures together. They need to register to the eye separately. Maybe darkening or lightening a shade between them would be good. Like making the T-Rex lighter or the Triceratops darker. Something to make the two figures more distinguishable from the other.

Your piece is too bust to put any object in the background but as far as some shading goes you want to make sure it dose not ruin your piece in the sense that you can no longer see your figures. That being said you need to create some kind of contrast between you figures and the background. Personally i would lean towards a darker background because your figures are so lightly done.

Hope this helped...
